The terminal facilitates the integration of any CANopen devices in the EtherCAT Terminal network and can be used as a master (EL6753) or slave (EL6753-0010). What’s more, general CAN messages can be sent and received without having to deal with CAN frames in the application program. The hardware of the EL6753 supports the CAN FD physics, via the layer 2 implementation both the flexible data rate and/or the extended data field with up to 64 bytes can be used.
