Beckhoff Automation ek1561

The EK1561 1-port EtherCAT junction with a POF (polymer optical fiber) connection can be used in an EtherCAT Terminal segment at any position between the EtherCAT Terminals and enables configuration of EtherCAT star topologies with 100BASE FX hardware (POF). A modular EtherCAT star hub can be realized by using several EK1561 units in a station.   Special features: connection technology: 1 x POF (polymer optical fiber) connection via versatile link socket connection lengths: up to 50 m can be used for configuring an EtherCAT star topology   The EK1561 has a versatile link socket for POF duplex connectors. In conjunction with an EtherCAT Coupler, e.g., EK1100, it enables conversion from 100BASE-TX to 100BASE-FX hardware (POF). Distances of up to 50 m can be reached with the EK1561 and the EK1541 EtherCAT Coupler for POF. Unlike the glass fiber, the POF fiber is easily wireable in the field.
