TwinCATÂ 3 Vision Matching 2D expands the TwinCAT Vision functionality by the possibility to find and compare objects based on learned references, contours, feature points or other properties (template matching/keypoint detection and descriptor matching). These functions enable the controller to determine whether certain objects or features exist in an image in order to implement functions such as good/bad part detection, for example. In the same way, objects can be recognized to be sorted or individually handled and further processed in the production process.
