The TwinCAT 3 Vision Beckhoff Camera Connector offers the option of integrating Beckhoff cameras directly into the TwinCAT architecture. The cameras are configured in the same development environment as fieldbus components or axes. Triggered from real time, image acquisition and PLC or motion can be run with a high degree of synchronicity. Configuration is carried out entirely in TwinCAT Engineering. Wizards are available for setting the camera parameters, calibration, and simulation. Saved images can be read in from a drive and made available in real time via the file source control. Programming of the image processing tasks can be prepared and tested offline. The TwinCAT 3 Vision Beckhoff Camera Connector establishes the basis for communication and provides up to 64 camera connection points.
